Masters

Officially Masters in Graphic Design! The exhibition is over and so is this project (I think?). Close-ups of the books and wallpapers will follow soon.

Today is the first day of our exhibition. It takes place at the Zuiderpershuis from 14.00-18.00. Small maps of the city were made for the visitors. Whomever wishes to have the "Wallpaper-promenade" can come by to get a free map! See you later!

The end is near. Our Master Exhibition will take place at the Zuiderpershuis. Sunday (19 june) 14.00-18.00 Monday 20 june and Tuesday 21 june 18.00-21.00. Everyone is invited!

5 minutes of vacation

During our hectic morning I found the cutest little garden/terrace hidden at the back of La Chascona.

Party-time

Today was photo-shoot day! 3 hours and 4 locations to shoot. We stayed on schedule and got it done. Thank you Philippe Van Gelooven.

Before getting to the right combination many rosettes were made.

my last baby

A bare wall and a stack of wallpaper. Happy and sad at the same time. This is the last one on the list. My project has been a long but wonderful one! I am proud and pleased of them all.

I haven't seen the real thing yet but it already looks very pretty on this picture I received today. Tomorrow the big photo-shoot is taking place. Nervous and excited! The end of this project is near.

The last one

The last wallpaper was printed today at Extrapool. Tomorrow will be gluing-day at the Atelier Solarshop. Out of all the grey-tones we definitely chose the nicest one.

work in progress

Change of plans. The tiles that were suppose to go at the back of the kitchen will be placed inside the shop at the entrance of the kitchen due to technical difficulties. Fingers crossed it will look as good as it did on the other wall. More news tomorrow.

How cool is this?

Yesterday evening we went to glue the bird-wallpaper on the wall of La Chascona. I can honestly say we didn't expect the result would be this awesome. The owners were very happy and so was I! It feels like a giant dollhouse. Another place is done. I am ecstatic.

Test-2

For the wallpaper at the Atelier Solarshop we have decided to use this pattern as an epilogue of Jan Jan Van Essche's new collection. Based on a collage of the photographs used in the new catalogue I made rosettes that look like old moroccan tiles. From afar it looks quite decorative but when you look closer you'll notice the silhouettes. Tomorrow this one is going to get printed at Extrapool.

The book

Finding out what image goes with what pattern is not easy! After long wasted hours in front of the computer I decided to just print them all out and try a different way.

A beautiful exhibition in Heist-op-den-Berg made by Sarah Van Den Broeck. A fantastic homage to her grandmother Marieke who used to be a seamstress. Tomorrow is the last day you can go!
