Many fossils prove that roses have been existing for over 35 million years! In Egypt rose wreaths were found from the year 170. In greek mythology these were only worn by virgins. Roses were mainly used for perfume, cosmetics, food and parties. They were used for the smell found in the essential oils retracted from the petals and their beautiful romantic appearance.
